Okay guys... We have had the board running smooth for a month or so now.  The server I am using obviously has some issues with lag and downtime.  It's because its a free server.  I wanted to get all the quarks worked out before I pay for premium hosting, which should be faster and more reliable.

 All the posts and data is now transferable, so if I want to go with another type of message board, I could.  This is the newest version of the SMF message board, which has great security features but the add-on modules created by users have had little development up until this point.  It would give us more flexibility (image galleries, watermarks, etc) if we were to downgrade, but then a malicious hacker could possibly crash the board.


Anyways, just noticed no one has posted in 4 days.  I am wondering what suggestions for improvements could be had to move forward?

Any advice, criticism, etc, would be greatly appreciated!!!  I am done with some of my side web-developing projects that were taking up my time so now I have more time to dedicate to the boards..

Hey I think this website is great but it needs to get more known, i don't know how..maybe people telling other ray keepers from other sites/forums because other then that it's great you can browse all the forums just not alot of people to do that with though. I hope that alot of the ray keeping community comes over here to Stingray Source because this could be a great place to talk and learn about freshwater stingrays.

I am glad to hear you will be on more Miles.


I think the key to this sites' growth lies in advertisement. The more members we have on here, the more active it will be.
So if we can advertise the link to this site on other forums and wherever we possibly can on the internet it will do all of us alot of good.
Perhaps you could make a banner Miles that has an embedded link in it to this site that we can use in our signatures on other forums and websites as well.
